| We've written, "things just keep getting nicer for Dan Mangan," in our past two newsletters and that continues to be the case. Mangan's sophomore LP, Nice, Nice, Very Nice, made the Short List of the Polaris Music Prize last week, alongside Broken Social Scene, former winners Owen Pallett and Caribou, plus acclaimed acts, Tegan and Sara and The Besnard Lakes. Mangan and his band just took the UK by storm at Glastonbury and will take to the road in the U.S. supporting such acts as The Wooden Birds, Okkervil River, The Walkmen and Japandroids. Nice, Nice, Very Nice will be released in the U.S. on August 10 by Arts & Crafts. |
